Anyway I took a few photos in my garden using a 300mm lens and standing four feet from the subject. I think I have got better results than I did with the macro lens.
The photos are straight off the card, no tweaking. ISO 800 f 5.6 1/4 second, manual focus, steady hand.
I am happy with my first pictures with the camera and a new (to me) way of taking small objects.

Theres nowt wrong with them there piccys, you do realise, now that we know you have a new camera we are expecting some fancy stuff now.
