Whilst I would generally agree with that statement. I did notice Matty has a flaw or two in his temperament. I was one who thought he could make that step up but in doing that I did qualify that by saying Barnsley might not be the best club for him to progress at in the championship, No disrespect to Barnsley in any way. I did think a more established Championship club could have nurtured his skills and all round game. Nobody can doubt his commitment and bravery, He needs his skills honing and a little more more general training in reading the game. He will be a great championship player over the next two seasons.
