2018/19 Prediction League; Game 30 v Blackpool (home)

Update

No arrivals, neither Bought nor Borrowed, since the thread for this game first went up; no-one sold either, but four have gone out on loan (including one John Anthony James O’Sullivan, Irishman of this Parish and one-time employee of the Stanley – well, twice-times employee more accurately – who kept his Celtic (that's "Keltic", not "Seltic") options open by signing for Dundee until the end of the season) .............. him apart, they loaned AMF Rowan Roache to Derby, Yusuf Ceesay to Altrincham of the Bananarama North, and Finlay Sinclair-Smith to Widnes (who beat Featherstone Rovers 44-22 today, I see ............) Other than that, the only news is the Running Out Of Town of the Oysters – sorry, Oystons – who have now left the Club, and are seemingly doing fun Family things like suing each other

When I wrote the opener, Blackpoodle were 8th off the back of a record that read P29 W11 D10 L8 GF31 GA27 and 43 points ........... Now they’re 10th, having played 5 more games, of which they won one, drew two and lost two, scoring 3 goals and conceding 6 (to make it GF34, GA33), and moving on to 48 points .............. The win was against Walsall FreeFallers (2-0), the draws against Sunderland (half-Desmond, away) and Charlton (Goalless Desmond, also away), and the defeats were 1-0 at home to Oxford (who’ve only won 9 in 35 but who also beat them at the Kassam 2-0 in the reverse fixture), and Saturday’s Embarrassment at Bristol, where BrizzleRov smacked them 4-0, with three of the goals coming from Jonson Clark-Harris who, as you’ll remember, they signed in the transfer window from Coventry (and it was a ‘proper’ hat trick, because his three goals were consecutive) ........... so five points, the last three games of those five where they didn’t score, and two losses in their last two – if you’ll pardon the expression - outings .......... Five away wins out of 17 played; leading scorer list shows Gnanduillet now has 10, having scored the opener at Sunderland, Delfuoneso still has 6, and Harry Pritchard moved up to 5 with a goal against Walsall ..................

Form sides don’t include us ............ but they do include, as well as the usual suspects (Louts (13 from 15), Lambs (11) and BlackMoggies (11)) both Lady Godiva (11 as well) and the Codpieces with 10 .............”Way On Down!” are Wycombe (1 from 15), Bratfud (who lost 5-1 to Pompey) with 2/15, Southend and Rochdoodles with 3, and Walsall and the Iron with 4 ...... The Wombles have 7/15, but are 9 points and a lot of goals from safety ........... two sides are on 39 points (Oxford and Walsall), two are on 40 (Gillingham and Shrewsbury), and four are on 41 points – Southend, Us, Plymouth and Scunthorpe ............. We’ve got two games in hand on everybody around us, but we need to win them ....... although in fact we moved one place up the table after losing to Coventry, because Plymouth lost at Slumberland by one goal more than we did, so our GD is -10 whereas theirs is -11 .............

Your choice whether you stick with your original prediction (those who made one) or change it/make one

Come On You Reds!
