Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright

In a little over 48 hours we face a formidable force. The Tigers are coming to tea.... and Stanley are on the menu!
After our mauling last week & fresh from the bloodbath at Fratton Park, the league leaders arrive no doubt expecting another easy meal.
But Stanley have one big advantage ....Nobody expects us to win!
Are they the best team in L1? ..Probably. Are they invincible? ..No!
They've been beaten 6 times this season, including a 4-1 thrashing at Fleetwood & home defeats by the Posh, the Shrews & yes... even Pompey!
To turn the tables will require an effort of epic proportions, but it's not impossible.
What is required is that every single player gives 100% effort, 100% determination & above all.. 100% belief!
If we sit back & allow them time & space to dictate the game, we will be hung, drawn & quartered.
When they have possession, we must hassle & press them at every opportunity, especially their back line.
Run at their keeper, run at their defenders, press them into making that one mistake we can take advantage of.
When we do have the ball, we have to be much more direct.
How can we penetrate such an organised defence? The answer is easy, don't attempt to go through it.... go around it!
Stanley's success has always been based on fast wing play. From the glory days of Gary Roberts to those power runs of Jordan Clark.
Using the flanks stretches the opponents defence as they come out to meet the threat. This creates more space in the centre for forwards to operate.
I would put Uwakwe on the left to support Charles. Before being side-lined (when we were actually winning) his pace & skill created chances & goals.
Likewise, Gary Roberts on the right wing can support Bishop. Both these players are natural wingers and more importantly... quick & direct!
It's vital that we strike first. If we can get an early goal we're in with a chance of at least 1 point if not all 3.
So come on you Reds. Let's grab the tiger by the tail. No fear & no surrender!
You know what they say.. 'Always expect the unexpected!'
