On this subject I have a bit of info gleaned from the club. I phoned the club this week to book hospitality for one of the games and spoke to Sophie. After I booked hospitality I asked her about how my existing season card would be updated for the new season. She said that for existing season ticket holders who aren't changing category (e.g. adult to senior) or seat, and who have paid for the 2022/23 season then your existing season ticket card will be activated remotely..........meaning there's no need to go to the club to get existing season cards activated. Therefore if that all works OK we should be able to go to the first home league game and present our cards at the turnstiles and they should allow access. She did say, if the existing card doesn't work at the turnstiles that I would have to go to the ticket booth on the day to get the problem sorted.
