Andy, the team sheet against Burton showed a 4;1;4;1 formation, with Lowe as a lone striker in front of Whalley, Pritchard, Hamilton, McConville.
The problem with one player leading the line is that the opposition simply put 2 defenders to mark him & you've nullified the threat.
Unless of course he's a striker like Denis Law, who could leave a 5 man defence in his wake, dance a quickstep with the goalie, before tapping in from 3 inches.
