VMI Trophy used to be the John Duckworth Trophy and local teams competed for it. It used to be more than 2 teams back then. I remember Clitheroe being in it, but the others escape me.

The VMI name is indeed Vending Machine Ingredients. I may have dreamt this, but I seem to recall ex-Harwood Chairman Chris Hickey having something to do with them.... maybe he owned it.

As I say, it's a good while ago, so maybe I'm off the mark with this.
