Fountain Abbey near Ripon, well recommended for a day out, similar to Bolton Abbey - lots of walks, lakes, streams, old churches, buildings and an abbey to look round and over 400 deer (3 species) roaming round the place.
Free parking and free to go round the grounds, if you want to park on the lakeside its £3, think its £7.50 if you want to go round the abbey, we didn't go in yesterday as it was so nice outside, probably will next time we go
