Well since it's run at the Cricket Club by a very responsible charity I would say you can safely take your kids !
They don't allow any fireworks other than the organised display (except sparklers under strict supervision), the bar is open but it's well organised and in the 8+ years I've been going with family and youngsters there have been no problems.
