It has been a family decade for me too. Up to the age of 21 I had no responsibilities.
I got marries in 1999, had my first child in 2000 and my second in 2003.
I have moved house twice, my parents became pensioners, mine and my husband's grandparents died.
In addition to all this I will remember this period in time as the one where I finally got the most fun and rewarding job I have ever had.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs, cackling and telling me
'You'll be next.' They stopped when I started doing the same to them at funerals.
