Totally agree.

Culturally the decade has been very disappointing.

No new music. (Okay, sort of newish bands, but all very retro.)

No new youth movements, unless you count tucking your trackie bottoms in your socks.

Little new theatre.

No new art movements.

No literary revolutions.

No riots, unless you count the biggest demonstration of the decade, the tweed and pearls pro-countryside/pro-hunting march.

Even Top of the Pops ended.
