Re: Darlo Fans treated like animals

that so made me laugh & it hurts to laugh hehe, more like sour grapes within darlo camp. Welcome to proper old football as it was superior for available at the FES Trouble is the todays game gets lost in all its creature comfort namby pamby. Tho those of us did pity the darlo lot getting wet & brought it back thats exactly how we used to watch the footy - in the rain peed wet thro & cold week in week out, worst the torquay match & being roofless was not too long ago for us either.

He is right

But where was he at Barrow, Blyth spartans or many other grounds we have been to getting soaking wet through..

The truth is we passed the ground criteria so it is fit for league football. Sorry if its not up to his high standards but hey.. we never said it was a palace

I felt sorry for the darlo fan on crutches with a bin liner over his pot in a vain effort to keep that dry LC2L4311.jpg :: Accrington Stanley v Darlington

There were some Darlo fans in the main stand.

Pity that word didn't catch on.

They ought to thank their lucky stars. If they were at Stockport, they'd have had to sit down on wet seats, as well!

Funny that he's even a worse reporter than he was a ref, and that's saying something

I wonder why the club didn't move the Stanley supporters down the main stand and allow the Darlington fans access to the covered seated area? I know a few were in there, but surely it wouldn't have hurt anyone to do that last night?

Good point and i do not think them Darlo fans would of caused mayhen would they! More chance of them kaing mayhem being stood in the rain for 90mins! Still they came, they paid, they got drenched, they lost, they went home the 3rd set of unhappy fans in the same number of games.

In hindsight we could/should have done, maybe could have tidyed up part of the Cowshed.

However we had yet another LCC inspection last night, and everything had to be done "by the book".

We do allow disabled away supporters in the main stand at the dressing room end, but its by request only, and we don't over publise this facility. If more had asked I'm sure Mick S would have granted the requests.

Talk about stating the obvious.

Sod em - we've stood in torrential rain many a time and if the only thing he can blame on loosing, is the ground, the pitch and the weather, well its a bit of a rum do - we should all log into his little Alpha radio station or whatever its called on Saturday afternoon, ring up, swear like buggery live and and get him pulled off air. Idiot.
