Question Barnet Game??

What is the state of the pitch/ground, this morning? As there has been snow in many areas. With it being Barnet on Tuesday night, who have a distance to travel, it will need to be OK as soon as possible I would have thought..

Re: Barnet Game??

A 1-0 win will put us 6th= with the Shrews; any other winning score and we'll be 6th, with Shrewsbury 7th.

Exclamation Re: Barnet Game??

And I was bothered about the snow

Stanley v Barnet.
Tuesday 2nd Feb 2010.

Pitch inspection - 12pm.

There will be a pitch inspection at 12pm at the Crown Ground ahead of our match against Barnet tonight.

Heavy rainfall overnight and this morning has left some areas of standing water on the pitch, the result of the inspection will be announced here on the official Stanley website as soon as it is available.

Stanley v Barnet
Tuesday 2nd Feb 2010

Pitch inspection - MATCH OFF.

Accrington Stanley's home match against Barnet at the Crown Ground has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Heavy rain last night has continued this morning and left large areas of standing water in all areas of the playing surface.

A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced shortly.

Re: Barnet Game??

Will we ever play this damn match, at least now (from a purely selfish point of view) I might be able to watch the rearranged match in the near future (I am working tonight and couldn't get the time off). Seems all this drainage that has been put in is not doing its job!

Re: Barnet Game??

if the Barnet game's re-arranged for March 2nd we'll be playing 9 games in 28 days (20 Feb > 20 Mar) - 7 of 'em at home - helluva workload for the pitch and a stretch on finances for some people - I'm sure the players will cope - they've come through admirably so far!!

Sat 20 Feb H Bradford City
Tue 23 Feb H Burton Albion
Sat 27 Feb A Torquay United
Tue 2 Mar H Barnet
Sat 6 Mar H Notts County
Tue 9 Mar H Macclesfield Town
Sat 13 Mar A Barnet
Tue 16 Mar H Rotherham Utd
Sat 20 Mar H Rochdale

some tough games in there but if we come through it OK - well.............

Re: Barnet Game??

We seem to have been playing Barnet every other week this season. And yet we still have to play them home and away in the league.
