The Noble Lord Takes His Entitled Place At The Top

Well not sure about "entitled" but three maxis and one blob from the first four games sees Lord Stiffupperlip (hereinafter Lord S) at the top of the table with 15 points, ahead of Outback Ozzy (13) and Leylandii, Mab and Proccy Fan sharing 3rd place on 11. The other maxis from the Magpies game were Stevie R (8th=) and Revived Red (17th).

33 of us have had at least one go so far this season , but already only 23 are ever-presents . AccyTom18 and Norwich Stanley may have been caught out by the last game being moved to Friday , and Kiwi John was obviously asleep when the season started , but they have all played three. Ange B has played 1, won 1 so is guaranteed at least equal first in the percentage league if she leaves it at that . Other "played 1"s include Benboy who is our only pointless contestant at the moment .

So what do you think of it so far? Apart from 20 minutes against Yeovil, it seems OK to me, and scoring late seems a better habit to get into than conceding late. Anyway, it's roll on the Shrimps, and time to re-establish the time-honoured tradition of them giving us 6 points a season .

On Stanley On!!

Chimer old boy! How unexpected to receive such a spiffing honour.
Especially on the 1st anniversary of my joining such an exclusive band of true football intelligentsia.
Having correctly predicted 3 from 4 results, I only hope that my other prediction of certain promotion this season will also prove to be prophetic
PS. the bottle of shampoo is in the post!

Chimer, don't fall for that aristocratic blether. Grouse shooting is Lord S's sport; he gets his third under-butler to come up with the footie predictions.
