This was Chapman's first season as a first choice keeper at any pro club, and he aint young.

There is no way any club would have offered him a good 2 year+ deal a year ago, however he did well after losing his spot for 9 mins on the coast, and made the best of it once Max had his tear.

2 recent keepers in play-off finals, one on verge of premier league. Then you have Etheridge who left for a much better deal and is now semi-pro 2 years later, and Chapman and Mooney looked very similar at one stage had completely different fortunes. Fine margins.

I bet they weren't premier league clubs not getting at Clarke but you can't get everything regarding contracts right I liked Chapman great lad but as a goalie he had plenty of faults but he had a great season with us and we move on time will tell if Chapman improves anymore but I wish him well and hopefully we will unearth a gem of a keeper.

Rather the opposite in fact, in that I suggest how I fully understand his reasons for going to a 'Bigger' club...etc.

Johnny Maxted looks a great keeper to me....
When John and Jimmy have really boosted his confidence he will be more than good enough to be our No 1 keeper....
We will have to sign another keeper as well though!

Blimey i referred to Chappie in my comment stating as to why i thought confidence was shown in him, despite not the best of starts. i also said "Not Many" players would sign if other league clubs were interested, and i still hold that view. sorry choirboy that shoulda been the post before yours, but i buggered that up. lol
