Think there is quite a lot of priorities eg:- relocation of changing rooms, training facilities, continuous improvements to the ground including hopefully increasing revenue through amongst other things hospitality to then hopefully increasing player budget and attractive working conditions for future players.

Re: Window

Much talk recently on ‘lack’ of facilities and having to train on artificial grass.
I know the site at Read isn’t progressing as was hoped but I thought Stanley had agreed a deal with Hyndburn Council to use King George’s playing fields.
Did that deal never materialise or has KG’s been plasticised?

Waterlogged most of the time always has been alright when nicer weather arrives but that will be too late I believe they are looking at another long term solution but it costs and takes time hopefully if it comes off it will be sooner rather than later, because I believe it is now frustrating the management team rightly so because further up the leagues you go harder to discover gems so with better facilities plus obviously a bit more money it would presumably make thier recruitment process a bit easier.

From my recollections there wasn’t a playing field in Accy that wasn’t a bog in the winter.
Maybe Stanley should look to train over in Southport or (barefoot?) on some such Sandy Shore?

Changing rooms are a priority I believe. Something about their size (current ones were built before substitutes were a thing!) and lack of lady official facilities. There isnt a massive amount we can do with the current set up so it becomes part of the wider picture - new bar, corporate facilities etc etc.

Corporate sells out most games these days so we're losing £50 a headhead x 23 games etc. £50-100k p.a?

Its catch-22. Spend it on 'product' but not have the facility to make income gained by better product, or create the facilty to generate the funds to buy a better product?

Re: Window

"Stevenage have signed Sheffield United youngster David Parkhouse on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland youth international striker has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blades.

He has just returned from a loan spell with Derry City where he scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for the League Of Ireland Premier Division side"

Might have missed one here.

As even strikers from the English National League appear beyond our means, perhaps we should be looking at the Irish & Scottish teams?
Here's 2 for consideration:
Joe Gormley (Cliftonville)
16 goals scored, 98 mins per goal. 100% shots on target

Mitch Megginson (Cove Rangers)
17 goals scored + 4 assists, 102 mins per goal. 66% shots on target

Surely the prospect of playing against the likes of Sunderland & Ipswich, not to mention the sophistication of Accrington life, would be enough to tempt anyone.
Prize for the best terrace chant for either of these two!

The standard for that level of football is lower than National Leagues.

Who cares who the manager of the club hes signed for is ? The kid has a good pedigree at SUFC. Surely this is the market we need to be looking at.
