Re: 2019/20 Prediction League; Game 30 v AFC Wimbledon (home)

Prediction Leaguers See Off The Voodoo Gods Of Football

When nobody expects to lose at home to a team below us , and only two of us stay on the fence , the normal response of the Voodoo Gods is to hand us a salutary whamming .

But on this occasion, perhaps out of respect for Sir Billy , they relented and even allowed us to hold a lead with 10 men after a dodgy sending-off . So at least 3 points for everybody, except for drawmongers Stevie R , giving up Tuesday night's gains, and AndyD , clinging firmly to his position at the foot of the average points table with 15 points from 26 games.

Everybody, that is, who had a go, which for the first time this season didn't include our leader Monkey Hanger, whose lead over Valairian is now down to 3 points. Trust there's no serious reason for your absence MH …..

6 maxis , but no spectacular progress, for Accytom18 (14th to 13th), Watchdog (16th to 15th), Mab (stays 18th), Leylandii (21st to 20th), Tommy McQueen (25th to 23rd) and Choirboy (28th to 27th). In the Top Ten, Stevie R descended gracefully from 6th to 9th, promoting AccyMad, Revived Red and Ossy Kid, but otherwise no change to the order.

So after a Saturday off (I guess we should have been playing Bury), it's roll on the Shrews next Tuesday, hopefully tired Shrews after a hard Saturday game against the Plastic Dons. Only a point ahead of us at the moment, albeit with a couple of games in hand. So back-to-back wins for us might not be too much to ask for, perhaps, pretty please?

On Stanley On!!
