Re: Colby Bishop leaving

Sorry to see him go but good luck to him. Is it a measure of how far Stanley have progressed that our better players get sold before the season starts, rather than after?

Errr… are you suggesting Coley isn’t telling the truth?

Progress at Stanley has been immense and we will like a lot of others always be a selling club it's just that we are better at doing it than most Colby deserve,s his move especially after Charles cost him is move last season professional throughout and has nothing but praise for everything about the club.

Re: Colby Bishop leaving

Wish him well after all he's done for us. Just sorry he's going to a club in the same division and will have to play against us.

Re: Colby Bishop leaving

Andy Holt,s words as a club we bring players in at the bottom and let them out at the top there is no other model for ASFC, he says Colby was devastated last season to have his move blocked and to be able to play in the Championship, I promised him if another move came I wouldn't stand in his way again he carried on and gave his all. The correct way to run a club with the smallest resources in the EFL.

Err I suggest you read Mark's comment #11.
Not me who brought a comparison in with Ashley Grimes.

Re: Colby Bishop leaving

It,s not always the two clubs involved in a transfer that agree to keep a fee undisclosed for a variety of reasons sometimes has agents have said the player involved may request it is kept from the public because he might not want them to know that for example he was sold for £300 million.

I don’t know what the Matt Grimes reference alludes to, and am not really that interested. But then I’m less interested in the financial intricacies of football than some.
My comment, quoting Coley, was in response to your suggestion that Stanley may be wanting to:
keep it hush so we can rob Leamington on the sell on clause ? I thought we were better than that.
Don’t try and blame Mr.T for what your comment implied.

Defo not robbing Leamington; had a good chat with their Chairman recently. All "undisclosed figures" are known to FIFA, FA, EFL

We've lost Colby for X

Trialist A, B & C's agent knows a club has sold a player for the exact figure. They then think the can get their client 3 times more than the figure they had in mind, as we've sold Colby

They think ASFC are "rich" because of one transfer !!

Look at recent home attendances for home PSF's Yes times are tough
Look at the infra structure improvements

We have to be a "selling club"

Enjoy the ride; it's OK; better than NWCFL; no disrespect to them and our time with them in the 80's

Fair comment Mark but I'm not taking the backlash for your Ashley Grimes comment.
