Re: Tamworth (confrence cup)

Tamworths preivew ahead of tuesday (taken from www.thelambs.co.uk)

Lambs boss Mark Cooper is set to rest players ahead of Saturday's crunch game with Leigh RMI
Tamworth travel to Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night in the next round of the GLS Conference Cup with a Northern Section Quarter Final home tie against the winners of Hereford v Northwich in the next round awaiting the victors.
Cooper said on Saturday that he would more than likely rest a number of players for the game ahead of the Lambs' clash against league strugglers Leigh RMI at The Lamb on Saturday, but also stated in his programme notes that it is a competition he would like to win. Aaron Brown, who has returned from his loan spell cannot feature having played for Stafford Rangers in a previous round.
The game kicks off at 7.45pm at the Interlink Express Stadium, and unfortunately there will be no official travel coach running to the fixture due to insufficient numbers.

Re: Tamworth (confrence cup)

If cooper is going to rest some of his regulars may be a glut but will settle for 2-1 to the REDS

Just hope we get a better attendance than in the last round against York and yes I reckon we owe Tamworth a thrashing - 4 nil to the Reds!!!

Re: Tamworth (confrence cup)

So who is planning to go?

i am going but dont think there will be a big attendence from either tamworth fans or stanley fans. Honesty i think it will be 2-1 to stanley but i think they will score a lucky goal first and we will have to fight back but with mullin in scroing form again it hopefully will be more

Re: Tamworth (confrence cup)

I was there and it was the best birthday present I could have hoped for. Tamworth given a damn good thrashing - 5-0 and could easily have been 8.
Lets hope the real Accrington Stanley play at Exeter.
