Laura's been learning the clarinet since September and she's coming on in leaps and bounds. She knows D E F G A and with those 5 notes you can play some pretty good tunes. The quality of the notes has improved in the last few weeks, too, and her playing sounds more mellow and controlled. She's chuffed to bits with herself, also, that she is learning to read music. I don't think that had occurred to her but it has now dawned on her that she knows what all those notes, rests, pauses and time signatures mean and where to apply them.

West Ender

Seems to have been nowt but problems lately! First of all problems with the drains, presumably caused by previous tenant's misuse of the facilities. 2 visits from the Drain doctor though, and it is now finally sorted. Now I'm actually looking forward to hanging my washing out in the morning, (sad or what!) rather than swilling the yard down several times a day! My wickle wabbit can now come out of her hutch.. she must have been going stir crazy, lol!

Repair man came to fix the cracked front window, and in the process of putting the new double glazed unit in, managed to smash it! so now we have the window boarded up until the 2nd new unit is ready. wonder what people are thinking when they go past..."just moved in and already...
