It took just over half an hour to get back to the hotel.
I installed Ma in the room...she was going to take her pills and then relax....she said that the sea air had made her tired......Me, well I thought the chips might have had a part to play, but being the sole of discretion I said nowt.

I planned to go round the shops and find Ma some night attire....something that would cover her eighty year old flesh with a little decorum. I couldn't stand another night of seeing this wobbly white flesh with surgical scars that made it look like a badly drawn ordnance survey map....complete with railway embankments.(And I'm not being unkind to Ma when I say this....she herself would tell you the same. she says that these days she...

Monday night was roasting in the room. I checked to make sure the heating was turned off...it was.....I opened both of the big windows and pinned back the net curtains......and both Ma and me slept on top of the beds. I didn't care if the folk in the hotel opposite got an eyeful of my rump.
We were both done in from the long journey and being up early....but once it started to get light the seagulls were screeching, the bin wagons made one hell of a noise and in the end I had to get up and close the windows. It didn't matter we didn't get back to sleep....and we had hours to wait for brekkie.
It was another beautiful day, the sun was cracking the flags.
We were off on a mystery tour for the morning.

Who wants a bad back? Because ive been limping around and trying to stay off my knee cos it hurts when i walk on it .... my back has now seized up! Typical aint it! Had to ring the doc this am and she came out - there was no way i could get there. Ive jolted it when i went down but its seized up. I told her i had to go to preston hospital on wednesday ... how was i getting there on the bus and train - she said to get ambulance transport so eventually got that sorted. then spug rings up he had got some temp work again - on nights for this week.... the place where he went for the job interview last week rang him .... This time last week, I was in the process of trying to decide what to pack for a five day break with Ma.
If you remember, a few weeks ago I told you all that we were booked on another Robinsons Mystery tour.......and then a couple of weeks later i told you that the mystery was a mystery no more......we were off to The Imperial Hotel at Eastbourne.

On our trips to the Isle of Wight we have met many people who had sung the praises of this particular hotel......though, to be honest we didn't think that you could beat the Ocean View.

well i risked it and went down town today. So if you saw someone walking round about 4pm with black eyes and a nice big graze on their chin, and a squashed nose - guess what? you saw me!!! The bruisings come out a lot, worse!!! The eyes are going to be crackers when they turn black cos at the minute theyre red underneath with a bit of black at the ends. Fingers still taped up. I'll take the tape off on monday. But me being me caused great pain my knee - shut a cupboard door with my knee - you know how it happens you push it shut and it bounces back so you push it with your knee - well i used the right knee the one thats already hurting from thursday ... you should have heard the scream ive been limping ever since!!!!
