So, we checked ourselves in with no hassles, reception was great and very helpful..... Children's entertainer came and introduced themselves and explained everything that would be happening early the next morning.

Next, we were told to go through to the dinning area, where there would be a cold buffet put on for us late arrivals Hmmm ok, we proceeded to the dinning area where there was 3 plates of cold meat and salad. Now seeing as there was 8 of us and only 3 plates of food we wondered where the rest was. Ginger went to reception and asked about the situation!! The lady on reception looked puzzled, then rang the cook, the cook assured her that he had made enough food for the late check in's, so it looks like some...

So as the plane soared higher and higher we relaxed in our seats!! Zack was sat next to the window and was amazed by the scenery!! Thankfully it was clear blue skies ad we could see everything below.

Air hostesses came with drinks and me and Ginger tucked into our first holiday JD and lemonade ahhhh this was the life!!
He ordered another round of drinks and ordered the lovely lady they were sat with a Vodka tonic.
Ginger explained to her that it was his first time and that he had been somewhat nervous about the flight, she reassured him no end......10 minutes with a few good JD's in him and a nice friendly chat to the lady, he was vowing that he couldn't understand why he had put it off for so long!! ...

Don't know when i'll be back again .... well that's not strictly true, I knew I would be back in a week

Anyway, thursday morning arrived. Cases packed, kids bathed and ready to leave, me showered and ready to go and ginger also ready ( for a change )

My friends had brought all their cases to our house, as mini bus was picking us up from our house.

4 kids and 4 adults all fussing around in my living room ..... crikey it was a good job I was in a good mood.

Mini bus came at 12pm, cases and everyone all in place - off we go!!

Got to Manchester and there was no queue for luggage so we just sent our luggage on its marry way and went through security!!

Well as you all know it was my sisters birthday on Tuesday. I legged it down town on tuesday afternoon after waiting for a phone call that didnt ring and got her numerous pressies... I ended up getting her a bottle of sanatogen 50+ multi vitamins, a jar of anti wrinkle cream from boots. Thanks Lindsay - i thought it was you thats why i introduced myself!!! I got a clip frame from the poundshop - seeing as i thought id get it thrown at me when she saw the pics that i put in it, i put a load of the worst photos of her i had shrunk them down and printed them out on an A4 sheet and put happy 50th birthday diane at the top, a mug saying she'd hit a milestone birthday, a badge saying i am 50, and her proper pressie was a necklace from m&s...

The big New Zealand holiday blog.. A fast paced day.

We woke up the next morning in Hong Kong, Sparks was feeling much better. We were flying back home that night so we went for a quick breakfast, packed our stuff and decided to check everything in at the Kowloon Station check in. This is the brilliant thing about Hong Kong. With one of the densest populations on Earth and the need to get people from A to B quickly, the transport system is top notch.

We left our hotel at about 10am, jumped on the Airport Express shuttle bus to Kowloon Station and checked our suitcases in for our flight, it's a brilliant system, we didn't see our cases again until we arrived back in Manchester. We called at the customer service dept and left our hand luggage with them, we would collect it later....
