My friend has not been very well.
I only found out that she had not been well because she phoned to tell me that she hadn't really forgotten my birthday, but hadn't felt well enough to come round and bring my card......she has vertigo.....now that doesn't sound like a life threatening thing does it...well, that is unless you try to drive when you have it......

I told M not to worry about my blooming birthday....goodness knows there will be another one here before I know it.
It's like that once you get past a certain age, isn't it?

Anyway the upshot was, I said I would go round. We could have a natter and she could tell me all about the exotic time she didn't have in Mauritius....which is where she...

I was kept awake last night by my extravagant purchase......I kept on thinking of what the money would have been better spent on.......it would have almost paid for the loft to be insulated...keeping us warm this winter. The loft is already insulated, but we have considered increasing the insulation to keep the heat in the house and reduce those winter heating bills.
I keep on thinking, that now we have spent the money on this frippery....and the heating bills are going to go through the roof, literally........a diamond ring won't keep us warm.
But in the end sleep overtook me and this morning I told myself that I AM worth it, that I deserve something beautiful in my life.......and that if the winter is really cold and we fear big...

I didnt write very much about Euan the other day.. He is my brand new baby brother.. my brothers and sisters are a bit complicated lol....

we start off with my mum and dad... they had me, Sam and Leah together..

then my dad met Wendy and they had cassy.. theres also Wendys children... Emma, Lee and Karl.. although not actually related i grew up with them and see them as family.

My mum met neil and they had Zack.. and theres neils son Danny, who again although not related, we are very close.

My dad then met Cathy and they have had Euan and Cathy has ryan and Craig (who i havent met yet)

COMPLICATED!!!!!! everyone on the list is either a brother or sister or a brother or sister...

It was my birthday during the week, and hubby had planned for us to go to Manchester...have a look around the shops(and maybe buy me something)...and then have lunch out.
Wednesday was the day, and the weather was awful. I woke up early planning to shower and get myself ready so that there would be no delays...but when I looked out of the window and saw the rain pouring down.......I felt it in my water, that the day out would be cancelled....and it was.
Hubby mumbled something about 'not walking round in that lot'....but to be honest I didn't feel like going either.

My daughter rang me and asked if we were doing anything special......I told her that our little jaunt out was 'off'.

Woohoo!

It feels great to finally know that the house I am cleaning, buying things for, painting and making improvements on is ours!!

All these years renting and not being able to do our own thing to the house, now we can put shelves up where we want, pictures of the kids, decorate what we like, even have a little cat if we like! It feels sooo good

We have a child free weekend. this weekend, we will be spending all this time doing odd bits to the house, (apart from when we go out on Saturday night) like sanding the walls and skirting boards, I have done most of the cleaning, it just needs to be prepared for decorating

Hopefully we will have this done by the end of the weekend...
