1st Night Back After Robbery

Well this was totally uneventful
It took me ages just to go from the shop to the back
I just stood there with my coat on, staring, waiting.
I did eventually go in the back, then I couldn't come out of it
Sat there with my coat on, staring at the CCTV, jumping out of my skin everytime the door went
I did stay til the end of the shift, hating every minute of it
But thinking that this is my job, my livelihood, it's part of me, something that I have loved doing since I started over 18 months ago
I don't wanna just write it off without seeing if I can go back and do it, I wanna give it a go
The member of staff that was on with me was great, never expecting anything

2nd Night Back (Tuesday)
A phonecall came from the member of staff on during the day, asking how it went on Monday night. I told her and she asked if I still wanted to try Tuesday night or not
I told her yes I still wanted to give it a go, but wouldn't be too sure if I would be able to do anything (go out and serve customers/stand behind counter)
Not Yet
She informed the "manager" that I still wanted to go in (doubled up)
The manager apparently said "Well, what's the point in her coming in if she isn't gonna do owt!"
Nice!
I then get a phonecall from the same member of staff on behalf of the Regional Manager
He wants me to go in early to work on my own, while he takes her to cover in another shop
Work on my own, on my 2nd night back after the robbery! Hmmm
I am also told in this conversation that the doubling up of staff now stops
He reckons it has "Been dragged out long enough"
The knifepoint robbery was on Wednesday night!
I tell the member of staff, that if this is the case and they are not willing to double up then I know that I will not be able to cope on my own
Not so soon after
I will have to go on the sick
The doctor gave me Anti Depressants for a while cos of how I feel when I go out, constantly worrying about it getting a tight chest and my stomach does somersaults
This is then forwarded onto the manager who then says "Well tell her if she plans to go on the sick, she best do it now, cos she will not be able to come to work for a week, then go on the sick!"
None of this is said to me, this is all passed on through another member of staff
While I was there last night I left a 3 page note telling them how I feel about the whole situation and that what they are saying is not right
I got the member of staff that I was on with last night to read this letter and verify that she has seen it
While typing this Blog, I got a txt off The "manager" saying that in regards to my note, they haven't said I can't work with someone and she never said anything about the sick note
So in other words, she is saying the member of staff is lying about it all
I am seriously thinking of reporting the whole thing to the Head Office and see what they make of it all, it can't be right that they can do/try to, or say these things

Was hoping you may have had a more positive return to work and saddened to hear that you seem to have been treated so badly... Crikey I reckon you deserve a medal for going back so soon and they should give you the recognition for that...stay strong girl xxxxxxxxx

What a horrible experience to have, then no emotional help from your employers, I would start looking for another job. Good luck
