Well, Saturday was busy busy busy!!

Saturday afternoon I went to The Willow, in B/burn. They were having a charity reverse bungee jump.4 Friends from where I used to work were doing the jump for charity. 2 of them sat in the Ball, then they were flung 200ft into the air!! It looked fantastic, and I wanted to go on but didn't get the chance....oh well maybe next year The charity event was for a childrens hospital.

Well...after that I had to do a mad dash to get home, get showered, then meet the IN-Laws and all Gingers side of the family in B/burn for a Chinese meal. It was Gingers mum's 60th. It was at one of those what you can for so much!!

A day trip to York

Posted 15-02-2008 at 05:59 by Mick

My Brother had a few days off work and wanted to go out for the day, and asked me if i would like to go
i thought why not it would make a change, so we decided on york.
I checked the train times and it was nearly a 3 hour ride from Preston so we decided to catch an early train .
the 6-54am train from Preston he sent me a text telling me he was on the train and i set off to meet it at Accrington.
we got to york at about 9-20am
the first place we where going to go round was the railway museum which is next to the station but it did not open till 10am so we walked into the city center.
(we would go round the railway museum on the way home)
The first place we ended up at was the Minster but that only opened...

Trying to make a dream come true.

As a competitive Archer and Archery coach it is my dream to set up an archery school in the hope of introducing young people and their families into the sport, with the possibility of the next Olympic hopeful for the 2012 Olympics coming from Hyndburn.

The sport teaches concentration skills, hand eye coordination, respect and etiquette in a very safe and controlled environment.

Children with ADHD that I have observed, whilst enjoying the sport have shown vastly improved levels of concentration and manual dexterity during the lessons.

Many who have taken up archery both young and older have enjoyed the sport and I have practiced with a range of other archers...

Posted 09-03-2008 at 08:56 by Boeing Guy (Fly me to the moon)

First a bit of background. I am a Airline Pilot and have been flying for nearly 5 years, I was type rated on the Boeing 737 two years ago and currently have just over 100 hours on type, struggleing to find a job.

We arrived at the begining of January and started our flying last week, having gone through various groundschool and simulator tests. One of the guys out here had a cold a week or two ago and nobody thought anything about it, however on monday I got a sore throat, I brought some medication over with me, sore throat pastles, painkillers etc and proceeded to take...
