A whirlwind of events!
It has been an exciting past few weeks of preparation for me and now everything has come into play.
Yesterday I got my exam results and overall I got a 2.1 for the year, so I'm very happy indeed.
I'm working on some summer schools at the uni as some of you may know, and last night was my first night with my girls. I went into my room to let them all get ready for bed and say good night to eachother, and I expected them to be busy chatting to eachother by the time I got back but to my surprise all of them had got themselves into bed and were quiet straight away, I was really pleased that they followed my rules! I was even happier that they were asking loads of questions about finance and courses too, it's nice to see girls that age thinking about university even though it was their free time to chat and let their hair down! They're year 10's by the way so 14/15 yr olds.
I've just been having so much fun, can't wait to go back on shift later and see how their day has been. Taking them to play sports later or watch a film, whichever they decide they want to do. Disco tomorrow night!!! Can't wait. Ah I feel like a big kid myself.
London in a few weeks too. I got accepted onto the most competitive summer law school in the country that's just started running this year. There were only 100 places so I am really pleased. I will get to meet representatives from the biggest law firms in the country, most well known around the world and have international offices dotted around europe and america. I'll also be mentored throughout my entire degree and paid £100, so I am sooo looking forward to it.
I'm also shadowing a barrister for a week in August which will be scary but a brilliant opportunity!
Everything is brilliant for me at the moment and I'm loving it!
