The Musings of a Mule.

This being the thoughts & commentaries, musings & ponderation of said Donkey. A rather irrelevant look at life & its aspects seen through the eyes of someone who finds thistles ........ rather tasty !

Think I'm going to be poorly tomorrow!

Aye that's right,

Since yours truly had his "Bippys" (and it being a biggish one ....... ooh er Missus! ) on a School night, having a few snifters wasn't really an option, that said though, today's Saturday & the Witchitty one has been not so secretly plotting & scheming behind my back! Shock, Horror!

Certain reprobates from my past & present were contacted, consulted, invited & set to conniving to attend on my August presence this evening. The promise of free scoff & copious amounts of free Ale was the clincher I think? That being the case the normal sedate, relaxed Saturday itinerary has been chucked out the window (from the third floor too!) upon inevitably smashing & mangling on contact with the street, it was then roundly stamped on by the iron knickered Chancellor & I, was kicked out of my den & dispatched to the shops, avec money & purchasing list clutched in me mitt! I was given the Hound to for good measure & as we were both banished from our comfy environs & sent to face the cruel world of "Germing Saturday shoppers"

Floods, famine, plague & pestilence (all that just at the bakers? ) I was just surprised there wasn't some ratty old geezer wearing a big old sandwich board proclaiming "The end is nigh!" wandering about outside. Well you'd of thought so judging by the way folks were acting ..... eeh tis a funny old World! Anyways, clutching my list & trying to avoid the worst of the masses, I managed to acquire what the Chancellor had asked for & I even managed to find an oasis of peace, tranquillity & harmony eventually amongst the shelves & displays of the Drinks market .... Ah sweet sanctuary!

This moment of respite enjoyed, it was back out into the madding crowd & eventually back home where Atillia the Hunness was happily complaining as she hurtled round the kitchen like a skirted Tasmanian Devil! (Why do you girls do it? You put yourselves under pressure of your own making, then you're chuntering about it, but youse seem to thrive on it??? Me being a mere male can only wonder at this dichotomy. ) I was grudgingly allowed into the kitchen just as long as I didn't touch, disturb, fiddle with, or interfere in any way shape or form with the culinary wizardry that was taking place! Righty ho! But you can cut that, stir this, turn that over & mix that there ! (Ay? But you just said .....) the look was enough, the dog did one & I just stirred the pot as directed. I was eventually told to beat it as I was, by degrees, in the way, doing it wrong, getting under her feet, I swiftly shot off to join the Mutt with her smuggy doggy grin in the "Man Den" away from terrors of Dante's Kitchen.

As it is, it's now17:35 in Germing land & I'm in the front keeping out of bother & doing this, probably the best thing really, within an hour the first of the little Scallywags will be arriving & it is without any doubt a certainty, that things will only go downhill from that point onwards!

So until next time, take care all, enjoy your evening where'er thou be & thanks for reading .....

The look of innocence - Proper scoff, gert great lumps of meat simmering in their own juices .... luvverly! - Sufficient elixir for the evening one would hope - The longb haired tasmanian D'vil - And then she went & ruined it by puttin' ........ veggies in it! - Have a look at these, tsk! I meant the Cheese & grapes! - And finally (x2) the Monglin' helping with the pots.
