I had saved up a bit of money so yesterday i decided i would take Reece to Blackpool for a treat and stay overnight.

Yesterday morning i rang around a few B&B's to see if they had any rooms going, several of them said that they where fully booked but the last one i rang said yes, they had a room for me and reece and it would be £30 for the night, no breakfast, just a bunkbed for us to sleep in, so off to blackpool we went.

We arrived at this place about 2pm, i paid the £30 and £20 deposit for the key, we where told which room was ours so we took the suitcase upstairs and went into the room, in this room was a set of bunkbeds and a kettle, no tv, which i thought was a bit odd...we left our suitcase there and headed...

Well what a miserable week this week has been, its done nothing but rain
been down to the travel agents this week, been looking at the price of a couple of days away and a day in France, we've seen one for £99 each with coach travel and 2 nights in a hotel so thats not bad, i havent booked it yet but i'm so looking forward to it, we'll probably go sometime in August.

Reece is now counting down the weeks that he has left at primary school before he goes to Rhyddings, he's got 4 weeks left and is dead chuffed about leaving

my sister and her family went to Wales this week and stayed in a Haven holiday park, my nephew Cameron won the bonniest baby competition so i'm dead proud of him, cant put the pics up...

i've had a great weekend,i havent done much really other than potter about in my garden and look after my two nieces, my gardens now looking the best it has done for a long time and my veggies are coming on a treat, all my pansies are outgrowing their pots and i dont know what to do with them does anyone want any? i'm getting really bored with the house at the moment, its doing my head in, i flit about from one room to another and there is always some sort of mess to be cleaned up, marks on the walls that need painting, might start decorating again in the next few weeks, think i'll do the whole house in black so i wont be able to moan about the dirty marks on the walls anymore all my doors need re-painting, could do with hiring someone...

I've just started putting some money away this week so that me and Reece can have a couple of days away in August, but i have a dilemma Should we go to Belgium like we did last year or do i trek down the country and take him to France

its going to cost me nearly £80 just to get down to Dover and back on the train and thats before we cross or even think about staying somewhere for the night in France.

its about £100 for me and Reece on the ferry to Belgium return it'll cost me about £30 return on the train to Hull and back to get the ferry to Belgium, then i will have to pay £8 each way in a taxi to the ferry terminal so thats about £146 in all to get to Belgium and back (sleeping in a cabin...

just recieved the letter confirming Reece is definately going to Rhyddings, i know it may sound boring and may not interest you in the slightest but this piece of paper means the world to me, i can go out and start buying his uniform now YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.....ok i think its time for me to stop waffling on about it now, he has a place secured and thats that, i'm so relieved, its only taken 3 days from start to finish
