Phew...

Posted 29-12-2005 at 13:55 by harwood red
Bit of an odd Christmas. Travelled over to my mums Christmas day after having my ex hubby at mine for the morning as there were problems with the lads going to his for the morning this year. I spent most of the time he was here going to a couple of friends houses and also to the cemetary to visit a friend's little boy's grave. I had only been there about five mins when both parents turned up, I felt it wasn't my place to stay any longer and without getting upset I gave them both a hug and got in my car and left. I drove away with tears rolling down my face as alll I could think was that xmas morning should be about watching your child's face lit up with wonder and laughter opening pressies not visiting their grave. it was sooo sad but it certainly made me realise how lucky I was that I could return home to my two happy, healthy children.

We set off to mums in harrogate at 12.30, leaving behind a bombsite of a lounge with presents spread all over the place... oh well we'll sort it when we get back...

It was nice at my mums, proper christmas lunch with all the trimmings..mmmmmmmmmm yum.

On Boxing day, My youngest and I set off to Halifax for the stanley match. Now many people when I said I was going to the match from harrogate commented oh well it's in Yorkshire, you won't have far to go... Hey, Accrington is closer to Halifax than Harrogate.. Only made one wrong turn on the way there but soon got on the right track. Match was great, a draw but a well fought for point at the end.

Came home Tues teatime and was glad to be back until I was reminded of the bombsite in the lounge. I allowed the kids to have the rest of the evening to play with their stuff and they found new homes for all their new things yesterday.

I suppose the odd bit to this christmas was it ended with a relationship break up... not a big fight or fall out but a general agreement that it had run it's course.. So single life...I'M BACK!! Ha ha

Roll on 2006 and if I don't get chance ...

I WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY 2006 SEE YOU WITH ALL YOUR DREAMS AND GOALS FULFILLED XXXXX

Oi Missus, it was my job to out you, just as I did when you two started the relationship.

You are two smashing people, whom I love dearly. I'm glad it has ended in a friendly way, leaving the path open to remain mates. xxxx
