Well its been a busy weekend which ended in me shopping with my boys today. It seems strange as I hate shopping but my lads both love it. Well they conned me into buying them some clothes.... in fact eldest actually wangled some Calvin Klien jeans out of me!!!!!! I must be mad, although they are very big on him so hopefully he may slow down with this growth spurt (13yrs old and already 5ft 9" tall) and they will last him a year at least.

I enjoyed a drink with Mez last night. It was a bit of a pre-birthday drink for her birthday today and she had us in gales of laughter at some of the stories of when her son was young. All I can say to "her baby boy" is I'm still smiling at the vision now, cheers for that Mez ...

Haven't posted in journal for nearly a week now as although theres things going on I think I have just got a mental block when it comes to getting it down in here!!!

I know it's only approaching mid nov but I am usually all xmas shopped by end of nov and yet I have hardly bought a thing.

Now my boys are teenagers and liable to change their minds like the weather I daren't venture buying them anything except stocking fillers till nearer the time. Even stocking fillers for them cost the earth so have had to warn them that there will be a lot less this year. It's not that I can't afford it but I have brought them up knowing that I make a budget for xmas and birthdays and think its insane to go too mad.

I suppose I shouldn't complain but life has been pretty hectic of late... and great fun.

As mentioned in garinda's blog had a great day out on my birthday this week and oh how we laughed. Biggest being rindy hiding behind a van nearly wetting himself while our friend almost made a prat of himself... less said about that the better but I can say it was one of those you had to be there moments!

Work is also moving at a frantic pace with the review but I have to say mine and my colleagues heart's are just not in it. Hopefully next week when we start having to go round all the individual employees verifying info collected it may get alot more interesting... watch this space... yep you guessed it I'm actually...

Ok second attempt to submit a new entry as first one disappeared into the mystery world of the world wide web.

My son is a lot better today which is a relief as it was touch and go with his temperature yesterday which at one point spiked at 103!!!

He slept well last night which is more than can be said for me as I kept going and checking that his temperature was normal. Thankfully it was but everytime I checked he was wet through from sweating so hopefully he managed to sweat the virus out.

As for me well I am knackered and feeling (and looking) pretty rough. I have a banging head, sneezing and aching all over. At the moment I am putting it down to lack of sleep as I worked out that over the past 4...

It's unusual for me to be on here at this time on a week day as I am usually at work but I was kept up all night by my youngest. Poor lad was throwing up, running a fever and at one point shouting at me to stop shooting!!!! Then he started to tell me to stop going into the spaces????? I know where he gets that from as I also suffer with hallucinations when running a temperature!! At the moment he has dozed off on the sofa and I have managed to lower his temperature down a bit.....

He is very rarely ill and has yet to take any time off school with illness, and that record stands as this is the 2nd day of the school hols, for which he is pretty miffed about!

As for me I am absolutely knackered and just hoping...
