Well!

We had a wander over to Bar Antonio earlier for a couple of beers which is a normal thing for us to do around six in the evening. It's good to meet up with a few other English folk that live here and pass an hour or so catching up. It's also a good chance to practice our Spanish because the staff only speak a little English.
We were around halfway down our second beer when this group of English people turned up. We've never come across them before. They eventually got themselves sorted at a table and one woman took charge. She informed the others that she could speak Spanish and started to tell the waiter, our mate Juan, the meal orders. One of the males in the group asked her to ask our Juan if there was garlic bread.............so she raised her voice and asked 'have you any garlic bread'. We knew then that it would end in tears!!
Anyway, meals ordered and they settled down to wait. I noticed that Mrs Bossy Boots managed enough Spanish to get herself a carafe of white wine.
Both of us were well interested in the outcome so ended up with another beer. We really need to get a life.
It was well worth the wait. Mrs BB and one of the blokes were happy with theirs but the other three looked a little shocked. One woman was mortified that her fish still had it's head on and the other two who had waited patiently for nice pork chops...........ended up with squid!
We chuckled all the way home. I trust that they made her pay the bill!!
