I was going to go on holiday this week. For a couple of weeks I'd been eyeing up an all inclusive to Cape Verde. It wasn't bad value for money really but I never got around to booking it. I would have been on my own for the week as Sparks has no time off. Being on my own has never stopped me before, I've travelled all over the place on my own and never bothered about it.

I'd been looking at this holiday when I was off sick then, I went back to work and forgot all about it. When I got back to work, I was reminded that it is my colleague's 50th this week, so we're all going to Blackpool for a night out. I've found a nice little hotel to stay at because I am going to go on the train and stay over. I might as well, what with the money I've saved by not going to Cape Verde..

So here I am, at home for a week, I've even brought the rota home with me so that I can do it at leisure. I haven't done much of it though, the weather is too great to miss out on, so I've been walking every day, pottered around in the garden, had a day out shopping and plan on doing nothing but outdoor stuff until it rains. I figure that the toilet doesn't need cleaning that badly, it can wait....

The only housework stuff I've done is the washing... I can't resist bedding that has been dried on the line, so I'm making the most of my holiday at home and catching me some rays...

I agree with Cashy. Make the most of the lovely sunshine.

I'm with you on the line dried bedding though........lovely to snuggle down under sheets which smell of fresh air.

having said that, it has been too warm for me to snuggle down........I have been sleeping on top of the duvet for at least the last week.......something wrong with my internal thermostat
