I had a bit of a rough day and night yesterday. I worked on Sunday night and fell sleepily into bed on Monday morning. I was only asleep for a couple of hours when I was woken up with the most nagging abdominal pain. Unable to get back to sleep, I ended up getting out of bed and pacing around. I got dressed and took the dog out, thinking that a bit of activity would shift the pain. It didn't, so I resorted to going to Asda to do the shopping. Needless to say, I was worn out last night, so I went to bed early.

I fell asleep alright, but then woke up after an hour with heartburn and period pain. I never used to get period pain, well nothing that bothered me, but in the last couple of years it seems to be getting worse. Disgruntled and tired I got up and had a glass of milk and a Neurofen. I felt sick every time I laid down, so I made a chair out of my pillows and slept sitting up. It was 2.30am by this point, so I'm knackered today too.

In order to try and stay awake today I have been cleaning out some drawers and cupboards. Sparks came round last night and he was rooting in one of the cupboards for a beer glass. When he pulled out an old beer glass that I didn't know I had, and it had a nice dusty coating on it, I knew it was time for a clear out.

I started small with one of the little drawers in my sideboard. The amount of old receipts, bills dating back nearly 10 years, old bank books, diaries. I didn't know that half of that stuff was in there. I am hanging my head in shame and now that it is cleared out, I can actually fit stuff into the drawer.

I went to the kitchen cupboard containing the dusty glass. That has had a clear out too, and some of the old stuff has been chucked. I have found glasses and dishes that I inherited from my dad and haven't actually used in years. I still have a hell of a lot more to do, but I'm having a quick break. I have a feeling that some of Accy's charity shops are going to be bombarded with all my second hand stuff in the next couple of days.

Back to the grindstone now...
