I don't believe it!!!! I've done it.....

My dissertation has passed and it has done quite well. My mark is still unratified and has to go to the examination board in October. I have been informed that the board rarely change your mark though. So for all intents and purposes I now have a BSc (Hons) in Professional Studies of Midwifery. I am definitely celebrating this weekend..

We are going to London this weekend to watch Lancashire at Lords, we will be meeting Tealeaf for a drink or 3 while we are there. I am looking forward to an opportunity to let my hair down.

I said bye bye to the dogs this morning. My dad came back off his holidays in the early hours and I promised that I would have them home this morning. I have been looking forward to some peace after being constantly followed for that last 2 weeks.

I started preparing them for their trip home yesterday with a nice bath in the kitchen sink. I have to say that although they are tiny and relatively easy to bath they were less than impressed with my efforts. They seemed to shrink in the water and looked like a couple of rats until they dried. They were then groomed, eyes cleaned and given a chocolate drop for being good. I have now had my little visitors for a week and they have settled in quite nicely...... too nicely. It's like the house is theirs and I'm the guest. I don't see how 2 such tiny dogs can take up so much space. The worst thing has been that I have noticed that my little visitors have some little visitors of their own..

They'd only been at my house for a day when I noticed one of them scratching. I used to do a regular flea patrol on my dog but unfortunately got rid of her comb when she died. I drove to Asda and bought a new one and set to. I confirmed my worst fears by using the comb and must have pulled 30 of the little buggers off the dogs, plus hundreds of eggs. I'm itching whilst writing this........ I have sprayed all...

I almost daren't blog this..... I know Margaret will read it, I was going to make it a private entry but then people might think there's something wrong so I decided to go for it.

It was my final visit to the dentist today for the rest of my treatment. Three small fillings, again, no anaesthetic. It was mostly ok, very similar to last week except for one tooth. As she cleaned it up, blasted away the muck etc. prior to the filling, I got a sharp pain through my tooth and up inside my gum. She must have seen me wince because she stopped what she was doing immediately. I was offered an anaesthetic but the mere thought of a needle probing up inside my gum was more than I could bear. I asked how long the drilling would take, she estimated...

I am so annoyed..... At the end of June I telephoned Lords cricket ground and ordered 2 tickets for the forthcoming Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy final between Lancs and Sussex. They said that the tickets would be sent out within a couple of weeks. I have still not received them six weeks later.

I telephoned Lords today and they confirmed that they were sent out on 2nd July, so they may be lost in the post. I am livid and have visions of some postman somewhere sitting in our seats at Lords, having robbed my tickets. I have asked Lords to re-issue the tickets but I have to put it in writing. I have my letter written and will send it recorded delivery tomorrow. I have also requested that we pick our tickets up at the venue...
