Cats and sneezes......!

I normally suffer from Hay fever......OK, I know it isn't exactly life threatening, but it does make you feel pretty miserable.
This year though, I was quietly congratulating myself on not having been so bad.....isn't that just fatal......because all this week I have had a throat like sandpaper and a nose like a blind cobblers thumb...and if any of you by chance meet me in town and I look like I have been crying, or worse, like I am crying....I'm not......it is just this blooming hay fever. I haven't been taking my medication, because it has been so mild this year...but I am going to have to mend my ways.
I felt really congested last night ......then in the middle of the night my nose started to drip like a substandard tap......I had to get up and get some loo roll to stick up my conk.......wouldn't that just put you off a passionate interlude?
I slept really badly too....then at 5am, Pasha came and started to do her ballerina stunt on the bed......round and round she goes...and when she thinks you are taking absolutely no notice(which is most of the time)......she comes and taps your face......with her claws out!
I was a bit hacked off with her and pushed her off the bed.
She bounced right back on again and proceeded to walk across tha bar at the bottom of the bed. Much like a tightrope walker.......tail stuck up in the air for balance........I was watching through one half open eye......then she pounced on my feet and proceeded to bite them. This was not funny.....but I was NOT getting up to let her out. (she had other ideas)
She jumped on and off the bed a couple of times more...and when that didn't rouse me either, she decided to rip up the landing carpet(she knows that this tactic always works).
I was up like a shot and she pelted off down the stairs giving me just a hint of a backward glance.
I went to the backdoor to let her out. She decided that she would get her own back on me by racing round the living room.....bouncing off the furniture and then dashing back upstairs.
There she was at the top of the stairs with her tail lashing back and forth...I swear she had a grin on her face.
I came back up the stairs and she made a dash for the bathroom.....I dodged in and shut the door.
Now she was cornered. I picked her up and told her that she WAS going out...and it was likely that my toe would maybe give her a flying lesson.
I took her back downstairs and opened the back door(first remembering to knock off the alarm...after all didn't want to wake the whole street) and out she went.....mincing down the yard in that haughty way that cats have perfected for centuries.

I took myself back to bed, thinking that perhaps I would doze for another hour or so....but got a fit of sneezes so sleep was done for me...and I got up.
It's Piriton for me tonight!
