It is really sad when you have to be separated from your parents......not that I can actually remember much about it...after all it was a long time ago in dog years.

It was even sadder to lose my owner, but I was soon very much at home with my new 'mum and dad'....now don't get all picky on me......I know that bilologically...no what I really meant was, biologically we are not related.....I still think of them as my Mum and Dad......after all they feed me,(yum...any more in that dish?)......take me out to do wees(and the other - just wish they wouldn't watch...it is just soooooooooooo embar - can't spell that, anyway I'm shy).....go for walkies along the canal bank.....they stop those bullying swans from coming near me......and...

you remember don't you Gizmo, the adopted one....the one of rotund proportions and the stumpy tail that wags.

My phone is red hot at present......I had a phone call today from Talk Talk...it wasn't the same girl as yesterday.......the one who could hear me choking to death, but carried on with her sale pitch....this was a different foreign bird...sounded South African.
The call began thus:-
'Can I speak with Mrs Pilington, sorry Piklington'

Me: 'No you can't, there is no-one at this address called Pilington or Piklington'

her: Is Mrs Pilkington there then?'

Me: 'Yes, that's me'

Then she sets off on this obviously pre-scripted spiel.....how by changing to them I could save money, on calls(free evening and weekend calls for life), line rental, and broadband.
At this point I interrupted...

I posted earlier about telephone cold calling....said I was mad at myself for missing a chance to use one of the methods for stopping these cold callers in their tracks(after all we all need to make a crust...and it is a job after all).
I had had a phone call even earlier than the one which left me kicking myself, but put the phone down on the caller, as I was overcome with a fit of choking coughing....and the daft foreign bird on the other end of the line must have heard me gasping for breath between coughs and carried on like nothing was happening......here I am blue in the face and wheezing and she is rabbiting on about services from Talk Talk......so no, that isn't why I feel a proper rat.

I have been waiting for one of those 'cold call' phone calls.
Ever since I read the Thread about how people deal with these I have been waiting to put into action one of the methods of dealing with them.

When I got one of these phonecalls I was going to ask who was calling......then ask if they were a friend or relative of the deceased ...just to see what their reaction was.
I have just had a chap on the phone from N-Power......and what did I do?
I blew it!!!!!
He asked for hubby....I asked what he wanted him for...and when I heard it was a sales call I told him in no uncertain terms not to phone again and to remove this number from their database.....Grrrrrrr! I could have had such fun and I missed my...
