I did plan to leave it there......after all much of what we did on this trip was similar to other trips.....but with SUN and WARMTH.....yes we have had winter sun, but it doesn't warm your bones.

I somehow thought the summer trips might be a bit different....and they were....a bit.
This trip had more elderly folk and more of the (frankly) infirm.
There was one lovely lady who transferred to our coach at Lymm. She had to be man-handled(literally) to get her on board.
In fact three elderly gents nearly pulled their tripes out getting this lady's substantial frame into her seat on the coach....and in doing it exposed her midriff and her ample bosom.
The lady was most embarassed.....as was her hubby too....

Ma and I arrived home last night......goodness it was a long ride.
We got caught up in traffic a couple of times, and although we set off at 8am it was 7pm by the time we hit Accrington.
I was bushed!
I don't know how you can get tired just sitting on the coach...mind you we were up just before 5am.
Ma has this dreadful fear that we will both oversleep on the morning that we HAVE to get up......it has never happened yet, but she insists that I set the alarm on my phone.
So......being the good girl(!) that I am, I do as I am told....only to wake up at something past 4 and turn it off....then I lie there willing myself not to go back to sleep.

Little princess was quite specific about what she wanted for her birthday......She wanted a Princess bed. Has been reminding us for weeks that that is what she most desires.
Her mum has been using 'The Princess Bed' as an inducement to good behaviour(er....I haven't noticed it has worked that well....but who knows maybe she could have been worse)
Anyway after her spate of naughtiness...her Mum told her that 'Mary Fairy' was very disappointed in her, and that because of this the production of the bed had been halted...until she could prove that she was a good girl.
Princess(Miss Bossy Drawers) also wanted the Disney Fairy Princess bed set......well that arrived but not the bed. She also asked for chocolates(see, I told you....proper...

I told you a few days ago that ma had itchy feet and had booked a 'Mystery Break' with Robinsons.....it is a mystery no more.
On Monday we decamp to the good old Isle of Wight.....well, we have been getting withdrawal symptoms, it IS nearly 3 months since we were last there.
I did get a sneaking suspicion that ma would have liked to have gone to Torquay....but she is also pleased that we will be going to somewhwerw where we know the staff....and she dies like sitting out and watching the cruise liners come up To Southampton.
When we have gone away to places out of season, we have often mused and wondered what the place is like in summer......whether it is better, or whether the crowds detract from the place.......well we are...

Today it has been Miss Bossy Knickers 3rd birthday.......and I never thought she would make it to three.
She has been the soul of devilment lately.
Emptied Fairy Princess bubble bath on the bathroom floor...blamed brother.
Tipped nail polish onto the bathroom tiles...said it wasn't her. Her Mum asked 'Who was it then?'
Her reply was a non-committal gallic shrug....like 'Who cares...some mug will clean it up!'
She has a perfectly good bedroom of her own but keeps trying to creep into bed with her brother....at 4am in the morning.....prompting him to complain that
'She frightened my eyes out'
She has crept downstairs in the middle of the night....making daughter think they had intruders......all in all...
