A very weddingy post - sorry!

It's just what a was afraid of - I am turning into a sad, sad woman who spent yesterday worrying about wedding favours and whether they were important, and if we didn't have them would people notice. Or if we DID have them how much should we spend, should we get matching ribbon and what colour rose should adorn them? It took half a bottle of red wine to cure me although I did notice that the colour of the wine matched my bridesmaids dresses...aaaargh!
It has been a rather nice week though - our booking for the registrar at Blackburn came through and its all very posh and handwritten and its made it all seem official now. The "legal" stuff is done - it just needs tarting up a bit now! I still need to go and collect a certificate that says we can get married, but I don't really want to show my face in there again after last time when we went to give notice. Chav started answering with silly answers claiming that he didn't know me from Adam, and I had bribed him into this so I could stay in the UK with my brat. I could have DIED...but I think the registrar felt sorry me and just hurried us through it all. She had probably heard it all before anyway.
Am also going wedding dress shopping soon have fallen in LOVE with this dress http://www.maggiesottero.com/catalog/window.php?77
but the only place that stock it is somewhere called Sugared Almonds in Earby. It looks frightfully posh and I feel awful going in there knowing that I am not buying it from there - I'm going to save the money and purchase it from the US for £270 rather than pay £800-900 for it! I do hope that they don't suss me out. I will have to be careful with what I say!

Pixie......go to Sugared Almonds at Earby.......try the dress on, tell them you still have a few places to visit and that if nothing comes up to your standard....then you'll be back. I'm sure that most brides go all over the place before finally choosing their dress.
Wedding Favours........sugared almonds.......gold and silver, sprinkled all over the tables......classic!Posted 16-06-2005 at 13:16 by Margaret Pilkington -
