I'm sure most of you know that, but I'd forgotten.
I didn't realise it but I've been deaf(ish) for a couple of years now, not sometime you can put your finger on, struggling on, using best manners to say, 'You what'?

Then there comes a time when your best mate say's slowly, (so that you can lip read), get your ears tested.

Well, I did, The lady told me after the test, 'Oh yes you need hearing aids, you have classic industrial hearing impairment.

Well, I had them fitted today, a different lady set them up then asked how does it sound?

It sounded awful, all tinny and as if I was shouting.

That's perfectly normal she replied, your brain has forgotten the higher frequencies...

Having a bit of a ponder today. As there's not a great deal happening I thought I'd scribble down some musings to pass away another interminably dull, drab, Sunday, so alleviating some of my boredom & increasing yours in the process. (those of you that is who bother having a read ) See already the title comes into its own, if only .... I'd not bothered reading this I could've saved 5 minutes of my life, which now I'll never see again! All in all it's a simple enough expression in itself but one that carries so many connotations in reality. How many times in our lives have we unwittingly used this phrase without a conscious thought of the alternatives, it's just something many of us say without really...

Isn’t it nice to know some things change while others remain the same, constant, unchanged, reliable if you will, or better said, predictable! So it seems to be with certain characters within the vaunted halls of this most marvellous cyber community of Accyweb. From points of view aired, comments made seriously, flippantly, erroneously or humorously, we build a mental picture & an opinion of our fellow webbers that in reality could be either spot on or well wide of the mark.

Some seem most affable & likeable, outgoing & gregarious, while others appear morose, introverted, even timid, or the conspiracists, cynical & smartarses who are always good for provoking an exchange. Then there are the mavericks & irreverent...

Well, lets stop right there, this won't be a fairy tale, it will be unbelievable in parts but allow me to assure you that once I've got my head around what's happened in the last month, you will need to view the blog in short stages, otherwise you too could be visiting your Doctor, once I've sorted it offline I will post the blog, however, if you start to read, have large supplies of caffeine and security food ready to make you feel that little bit re-assured.

I estimate two hours and it should be posted, but I will have to review it until it makes some sort of sense...
