Patience of a saint

Posted 23-02-2005 at 18:40 by lettie

I'm fairly sure that it's my last night tonight, but am no longer holding my breath. Was supposed to be going out with Sparky tonight and had to cancel due to work. I'm sure a lesser person would've called it a day by now, as has happened to me in the past. I know that he must get brassed off with all of my duty changes, but so do I. After tonight I have the rest of the week off, as I have taken a couple of days leave. I will not be answering the phone and will be switching my answering machine off. snowing again

Posted 23-02-2005 at 12:23 by slinky

OH well it's snowing again. It was worse yesterday because I had to attend a first aid course. I rang them in the morning to see if it was cancelled? (well here's hoping) but no it was still on. It was'nt that bad actually and the pub lunch was worth it hehehe (well shall I say liquid lunch). Well today I have a son at home and a son at school. The eldest one has come down with a chest infection. The youngest one feeling very hard done by because he had to go to school, oh the joys of being a six year old. Well nothing more to report, no where to go in this weather.

Posted 21-02-2005 at 15:51 by lettie

Well there's a lot of sense in the old saying "don't count your chickens." There was I thinking that I had done my last night and would be back on days until my hols when...... That's right, you guessed it.... I got into work last night to find that the sister on nights this week has phoned in sick and a replacement needed to be found. There are 2 of us that can replace her but we both have leave to get in. Subsequently I am working tomorrow and wednesday night and another colleague is doing the back end of the week. The disadvantages to this are that I am only off for 1 night and Sparky was supposed to be coming round on Wednesday, I've hardly seen him with him being in Poland then me being on nights. I have tried to find an advantage...
