Countdown

Posted 20-02-2005 at 18:18 by lettie

I am counting the days to the big holiday. It's my last night shift tonight before the hols, I am back on a day shift on tuesday. It's a bit of a quick turnaround really, but I am desperate for a weekend off. I have taken tomorrow as leave so that I can be off all weekend. I can't believe that I have worked every weekend since New Year but that's university for you. I have to have my days off during the week so that I can attend my course. The assignment is not going well, I have done no more since writing up my case study. I hope we get a good night tonight as it has been quite busy lately due to us having no staff. I can't believe that it has got this bad. With lots of us working extra everybody is getting run down and tired and then succumbing...

The things I do....

Posted 18-02-2005 at 12:55 by lettie

Picked Sparky up from the airport on tuesday night. A little later than planned due to delays. Decided to go to Ambleside on wednesday for a bit of shopping and a wander round. The things I do to keep the peace. I ended up being dragged against my will to the Apple Pie shop and force fed spiced apple and sultana pie with whipped cream on it. It was disgustingly good. Later we went over to the Ram Inn at Cliviger. Sparky wanted to break in the new Hi Life card, so we had a meal out and once again I was forced to have a pudding. I spent the rest of the night slumped in a chair in the pub unable to move. I won't be able to fit in the seat on the plane for my hols if this carries on.
Went to see Paul Weller at Manchester Apollo last night....

Who ever Invented school holidays?? tell me because they need shooting.
I don't mind school holidays when I am not working and can take the kids somewhere nice, but this week I am working wednesday, thursday, friday 2/8pm and have'nt got the time to take them anywhere, so kids are stressed out I am stressed out, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Took them to the park yesterday (bullough park) they were enjoying that untill some of the bigger kids came swearing and running round like idiots. So we decided to take the long way home and go through the woods, up by the farms, that bring you out up millerfold.
I have got to say it was lovely. The sun was shining and there are a few flowers popping there heads up ready for the summer (as I am)....

Homecoming

Posted 15-02-2005 at 20:53 by lettie

Sparky is coming home tonight. He is currently in Frankfurt waiting for his connecting flight to Manchester. I am currently killing time before I go to the airport to pick him up. Had my half price facial today, it was sooooo relaxing and my skin feels better already. It's been really dry lately and the eczema is on the point of flaring up. The appendage growing on my neck is still there. It is a damn sight smaller than it was but I'm beginning to think it is permanent. It's funny but I never had any kind of skin problem until I hit my 30's. No teenage spots, no dry patches, no eczema. Since I turned 30 I have had the lot.
My dad visited today only I had gone into town and missed him. When I came home I phoned my mum for a chat and...
