Posted 07-06-2012 at 22:40 by shillelagh

.. is flipping hard work ... you actually dont realise how much you use your hands for especially both hands .. until you cant use one ..and especially if you right handed and it is your right handed one taken out of commission!

like im used to typing wi both hands .. learnt how to type when i was 14 and its now down to 1 finger .. tho its probably easier for me because i know were all the letters are on the keyboard ... i started typing this at 11.16pm .. and finished at 11.39pm thats too long for me oh and the mouse .. im getting used to it now but still press the left instead of the right ...

opening a tin is a no go area ... cos you need both hands to use the tin opener. luckily i have a kettle...

Right where were we ?

Ah yes, BATUS Bangers, scrubbed up little Cherubs, mayhem in Med Hat, bright lights & delights, companionable Canadians, merry maids & the elixir of life (that's Beer, to you knowlessmen). So with a fistful of Dollars, excitement aplenty we were off to "The Hat" & it's vagaries, enticements & wonders boundless, plus the chance to get to know our hosts, take in their ways, traditions, culture, heritage & partake of the local firewater in the Bin, Buckle, Corona, etc, etc these fine hostelries for the prairie wanderer with a few bucks & a big thirst (and weren't we thirsty little Chappies, it's all that Prairie dust that does it. Okay & the fact we were her Majes .... if...

Just recently life has been pretty average, no great adventures or escapades to write about, just plodding alongly average & tedious, then during some exchanges in one of the threads our Canadian contributor Eric, set me to thinking about some times & events spanning the ages & continents, sending me hurtling back to my callow years 21 & the World before me, ready for the plucking. (especially those parts of it that consisted of Ale, Women & fun)

Soldiers need to train, so with the limitations imposed by a wary populace & anxious City burghers better a place somewhere far, far, away & out of site & mind would be the optimum choice. So following this criteria Alberta Canada was chosen, then singled...
