The time has come and AccringtonWeb will be being 'upgraded' to another forum software. Unfortunately vBulletin seem to have gone to the dogs and can't seem to do right for doing wrong. Recently they where even the subject of a serious flaw which was reported on the BBC - click on the image to read the report.


Anyway, the forum, the blogs and the gallery should be able to be imported into the new system. However we may lose reputation(karma) and the arcade. I thought I'd post about it in the blog so I have a memory of why I did it, and so I can check this is imported properly. I cannot say for sure when it will happen, but it will be...

I'm currently on holiday from work (well, it is christmas isn't it?) but still I have work to do! Due to me working away all the time and generally with limited t'interweb access I don't get much time to upgrade and look after my websites. So for the last 2 days I've been revising backup plans, rewriting scripts and upgrading sites. All good fun whilst also trying to spend quality time with the wife and kids!

I hope to do some more work with Accyweb this next week, including a new look and a bit of optimization....
