Spug and police!!!

Well lately as you may have gathered from one of the posts on the many threads theres been a bunch of kids hanging around outside my house. I'd had enough of the pain the necks and fired an email off to the policeperson who is responsible for this area. It wasnt exactly a nice email either. Straight to the point and with a few a niceties chucked in and saying wheres the police when you need them you only see them round here during the day when the kids are at school - not at night when theyre hanging around..... I got a reply 5 days later and i also found out the date of the PACT meetings you know when police officers and public meeting - if you have any problems you can bring them up and they will tell you what the police are doing what theyre planning etc. Well it was today at 2pm at winfields. Well winfields aint too far away is it just round the corner.... So off Jen toddles (well catches the bus seeing as its free) and went down to winfields. Went up to the cafe - no police officer... hung around having a nosy at winfields stock... still no police officer - i left winfields at 3.30 and still no sign of a police officer. So Jen comes home - sees a bloke driving a van tv ariels a specialty on a mobile phone at full belt going up the highway in the sky not hands free either, boots up the computer and thought just check the pact meeting was today i might have got the days crossed or even times mixed up.... no mention of it on the website .... so went nosying thro a few more couldnt find it. Thought oh well tough - im still ringing em anyway - got thro to preston - even tho i rang rawtenstall police station!!! hows that for a change... woman i spoke to said all the phones are interlinked... anyway took my number and said theyd ring me back. Just got the phone call now... the police officer had forgotten - she said in all the times that theyve had one there no one had turned up - she forgot once - and i turns up!!!! She apologised as well. Well i do have a result ... shes coming up on monday, i have her mobile if anything starts over the weekend.

Now spug - you know how i said he had no heating etc you know the story i dont have to repeat it do i? Well last nite on the phone he said he got a phone call - inspectors were coming out this morning to check it over and replacing the central heating next week!!!! Now after 9 months of no hot water and no heating - thank god he has an electric cooker that just maybe he will have heating next week. You want to know exactly what he said "I can do a streak round the house - he said and be warm!!!!" Ok hes delirious with happiness with the thought of getting heating....
