It's so quiet in the house now. It's strange. Mind you saying that i've got my family ringing me up at all different times checking up on me, checking that i'm ok, asking if i want any shopping, do i want a lift to tesco's or asda, do i want to come for tea. I'd hate to have their phone bills next quarter! Mind you i'm going to hate mine as well with all the calls i've had to make from ours the last couple of weeks.

I've gone back to work this week and it was strange cos it's the first time i was in for 4 weeks! 1week i was off sick, another was holidays, then compassionate leave and then another holiday. Well here goes - this was my christmas.

I didnt go out christmas eve i couldnt be bothered getting my act together! I just stopped in and watched tv and had a couple of drinks. Eventually i got to bed - took my neighbours xmas pressies which she'd hidden in my house over about 2am - her son wouldnt go to bed and sleep! Anyway i got up about 11.30 dived in the shower and a friend called for me at 12 to go for a xmas drink at the pub i was ready by five past and in the pub by 6 minutes past. Not bad to say i opened the door in my dressing gown! My bro came to pick me up at 1.15 to see my mum - i was still in the pub i saw him pull up and went to the pub door and shouted him and he came in and bought him a drink for xmas....

Mum has been in a home for 2 weeks and she was supposed to come home yesterday for christmas and new year. Anyway she's spending christmas in the home she wasnt so well yesterday so they rang the doctor and she said that she wasnt well enough to be moved and so shes stopping in the home until next friday and so this is my first christmas on my own. Well im not really on my own my bro is coming for christmas tea tomorrow. It is really strange to be without my mum for christmas. Im going to visit her tomorrow and taking all her pressies with me but it isnt the same as having her here.

I remember last year she was really ill leading up to christmas and on xmas eve the doctor came and she wasnt expecting her to be still alive...

I know its been a long time since i did my blog/journal and i promised that i would do it more often but i've been busy.

Mum has been in hospital for 2 weeks. She got a chest infection and she was pretty bad with it. Anyway she came out last friday and her psychiatrist and the social worker and spock team came out on monday and she went into a home on tuesday as she wasn't picking up as well as expected and she wasn't drinking or eating properly and still being confused even though she was at home.
