What A Lovely Day

Sunday morning and I was up with the larks for a change, I love my Sunday lie-ins usually. Charlie had to be on a coach for 9am because she was off to Camelot with the Guides. As she was leaving I told her not to put a coat on so she didn't have to carry it all day, even though it was drizzling at the time. I thought she will either be very glad or very mad with me by the time she got home, she said she was glad because it was roasting.
I got on with the more mundane tasks of cleaning up and looked at a bit of college revision but could see it was getting nicer outside. So I packed up the kids in the car and dropped in on Slinky we sat in the garden quietly nattering, until a flying water balloon just missed us by inches. Slinky and my Mum live next door to each other so our darling little 9 year old brother was filling water ballooons up and throwing them at us out of his bedroom window before realising he'd be a better shot downstairs. It went quiet so we sat nattering again thinking that the water bombings were over when one came flying over the fence and caught me right in the busters, the lil s***! So we thought aaahh we will stand near the fence so we can see him coming and duck, but the smart a*** that he is, he went round the side of the house threw another that hit the fence and soaked the pair of us ggggrrr! Revenge was sweet eventually, we had to bide our time and sort tactics, but when he looked over the fence there was Slinky with a beaker of water and got him with it full in the face, that will teach him not to mess with his older sisters lol!
