A Week Later

It's a week ago today since I got out of the hospital ....... oohhh how alot can happen in a week NOT lol!! It's been a bit like a holiday really, other people in the house doing the mundane tasks that I hate doing at the best of times ........ I'll never be remembered for my domestic skills I do what needs to be done and that's it! It's a family thing I think, none of the women in our family are domestic godesses
more like men without the tackle ....... and the wind
Lazy with the house work ...... hell yeah!! and proud of it, house work isn't fun and I like fun
...... I might change my mind if i ever see it in someones obituary 'RIP ooohhhh and she did keep a clean house!'
I've spent most of this week sat at the computer on accyweb, whilst a wonderful neighbour has had the children out all week on bike rides, so at least they were getting exercise and weren't stuck in the house bored. I've watched a few kiddy films when they have been indoors, I'm not complaining I love kids films ..........but I think I've seen Brother Bear 3 times this week already and they have just put it on again and I want to watch White Stripes or Shrek
!
Tuesday I had a date at the pics with Slinky ....... I was dreading it in a way because I couldn't get comfortable at home on the settee never mind in a seat at the pics but I was fine and really enjoyed the film. When we went to see War Of The Worlds there was a preview for a film called Fantastic 4 we both said it looked good and that we'd come down to watch it (in honesty it was because there was a fit bloke in it
) When we sat down to watch it, it flashed a PG certificate up ....... well Slinks and my face ......... PG we have no kids with us what the hell are we doing here
?? All I can say is what a fantastic film (scuse the pun)!! We both loved it, the humour was brilliant and had me holding my stitches quite a few times, I can't wait to watch it again now
We had an interesting conversation outside waiting for Slinks hubby to pick us up about how we must be getting old when we have traded in our Wednesday ladies night for a Tuesday night at the pics!
Wednesdays used to be ace! Baileys in Accy were doing something they called ladies night although lot's of men went in too ....... ladies payed £4 for a ticket and then you would just get your drink re-filled all night! Well that used to mean beer competion within our group to see who could sink the most beer from 8pm till last orders ..... we really had some great nights in there! The DJ Alan was and still is as mad as a hatter! We were always the last to leave after being told politely off our favourite bouncer lil Reece it was home time. Then it was up to the 80's music 80's prices at The Bridge if we were still standing! Some of my most drunken nights have been on a Wednesday night .. but I still managed to get the kids up for school and hold a group coffee and hangover morning on Thursdays
But Wednesdays are no more
I don't think they're profit margin on Wednesdays could cope with us .... £4 a ticket was very cheap considering the beer we put away
ooohh here I go again sounding old ...... eeee them were the days
This Wednesday evening I went up to watch Stanley, again I wasn't sure about going up, it was a little windy and I was still feeling sore and uncomfortable and also my mate who comes up with us usually was on holiday in Scarborough ..... no-one to discuss Jagielkas butt in shorts with
It was a really good match I was glad to see Stanley playing 100% better than they did against Burnley! I know a few faces from up Stanley and got to meet a few more HarwoodRed, g78 are 2 more accyweb names i can put faces too. I also saw a blast from the past .... Simmie one of the stewards ...... I didn't get chance for a natter though
he will wait till next time
Simmie was in the group of friends I hung round with when we were growing up along with another member of accyweb PILKYBUSDRIVER ...... which I only found out who PILKY was by accident ....sadly it looks like Simmies not a member on here but it made me wonder how many of my owd mates are on accyweb and I don't know
After the match I said I'd meet Rind in the clubhouse for a quick beer
many hours and many beers later I'm escorting 2 drunken light weight men to a taxi ......... who said men could drink! It really was a great night Rind
