Temple

Yesterday evening was lovely. Mimi and I went to the Temple with a group of others from church. Children must be at least 12 years old before they can go and qualify for a temple recommend from the Bishop. That just basically means that they have to be little angels who never do a thng wrong! - I wish.
We went with a friend and her two teenagers (My youngest daughter isn't old enough yet to attend) and all the way there and back the digging, poking, arguing whining etc from the back seat was just typical of any normal outing with any normal teenage siblings.
Once there it was lovely though. We had some who had never been before so Mimi felt like an "old hand" and was showing others what to do and where things were which was quite sweet.
Afterwards the kids were all "starving to death" and couldn't possibly have survived until we got home. When they discovered that there was a cafeteria (although closed at that time of night) and a snacks dispenser I couldn't get away without buying them a bag of doritos each ti eat on the way home. I got ginger beer to drink which initially was met with "we don't like that" but they managed to be able to drink it. Children aren't allowed to wander about loose in the temple so I had a little band of followers with me, a bit like the Pied Piper.
Busman had the pleasure of staying at home "Emma sitting" - or was she Busman sitting?
She'll be able to come with us in August.
