a little bit of a somewhere for me to ramble on more than usual
What a dilemma!

Last night was the final episode of Paul McKenna promising to make me thin. It was also the allotment group meeting at the Globe Bowling club. Decisions, decisions. Of course we had to go to the meeting.
Daughters were left with strict instructions to record Paul McKenna.
There we were nicely seated at our meeting, discussing the best way to erdicate slugs (apparently weetabix causes them to explode - could we be banned from keeping an allotment on the grounds of cruelty to slugs?) when Busman's phone rings - number 2 daughter telling him she can't get the video recorder working. He tells he we are in a meeting and there's not a lot he can do about it from here and advises her to keep trying. He returns to the meeting.
We are discussing the merits of various fruit trees and wondering who ate all the strawberries last year when the phone rings again! This time it's Mimi. They are still having problems with the video recorder. Busman explains that he is still in a meeting and still unable to sort the video recorder out from this distance!
I know I'd stressed to them that I really didn't want to miss this program but I hadn't realised that they were going to regard it as practically a matter of life and death!
We heard no more from them and when we got home they had actually managed to sort it out. I think it was probably more a case of panic than there actually being a problem.
So, I got to see Paul McKenna after all and now the 4 part series is over and I'm on my own. In the 3 weeks since it started I have lost 9lbs and I do believe that if I can continue to follow the "rules" and increase my level of activity then I'm going to acheive my goal this year.
