a little bit of a somewhere for me to ramble on more than usual
Chaos reigns

I've now got myself two journals. This one and one on JamButty. I find it difficult to even keep up with one let alone two.
As the wedding day approaches (matter of weeks now) and still seems like lots of things not done, Busman and I are trying to amalgamate the contents of both houses. He spends most of his time here anyway. We are getting rid of things we don't want and trying to move the things we do want all to this house. Still need to leave basics for survival down at his.
So what do we go and do? Buy a load of wardrobes/conti board from Removal Man which is now filling the dining room so we can't all sit round the table for a meal! As if that isn't mad enough we've bought Roy's settee etc and we've still got my old one so will have to re-arrange the room and get this one to the person who wants it off us before we can move the other one in!
All jolly fun.
Add to that all the wedding arrangements and things which are not going 100% to plan such as the copies of the order of service for the wedding which I am trying to print and half of them are coming out with something more like barcoding on instead of the images! Still haven't dared to put scissor to material for the bridesmaids dresses although a friend assures me that I can do it. Daren't leave it much longer or they'll be walking down the aisle in their undies!
Busman's 8 year old granddaughter will be OK. her mum is getting a pro to make her dress. The other two bridesmaids are my own daughters, aged 13 and 10.
Oh and of course there is the revelation that the best man's wife has a balloon phobia, only after we've gone and got oodles of balloons and arranged to hire a helium tank to fill them with!!

Re: Chaos reigns
Willow, you know that all weddings are a bit like this! Out of the chaos will come calm.....everything will get done and you will have a lovely, lovely day and a very happy life. Well, that's what you have to believe. Other than that you could always run away and do it very quietly. Take a deep breath and get on with things!Posted 13-03-2005 at 12:42 by Margaret Pilkington
